Great experience, very reasonable prices and nice boats! I definitely recommend getting a boat for a day, it’s worth it! Note, the price does not include petrol, so you will have to pay for the petrol you use. For us it was 20 litres per day = 40 euros on top of the 110 euros hire. We had two adults and two kids on board and had a blast. If you don’t have any previous experience, I’d recommend watching a YouTube video on how to anchor a boat as you will have to do it a lot during the day, and have a designated helper to do it. It’s not difficult but need to know the basics. Ionian Charters staff was helpful, very knowledgable and super friendly. The boat was clean and in great condition. I’d definitely recommend them. Thanks so much Yannis!!! Do take some food with you, and loads of water, it’s a long day. We also took watermelon which was amazing idea! We also stopped at a recommended taverna on Meganisi, staff helped us moor the boat. There is a toilet and a shower available but you will need to order some food and drinks. Note, it gets a bit windy and rather choppy on the way back to Sivota, so don’t rush, take your time, speed is not your friend in such conditions, unless you really want to shake things up 😂

We rented 2 times a boat, the Kiev, bij Yannis. His service is perfect, the explanation of how the boat works and where all the beautiful places are was clear. They take all the time for you. When you come back they will help you with the boat. The boats have e gps and depth meter and are clean and high quality!!! I recommend Ionian charters!!!

This is one of my best experiences with renting a boat without a license. The owner provided us with all the necessary information for sailing in the area, guided us through the functionality of the boat. The boat is clean, stable and well equipped. And the cruise to the island was a real experience. We saw and visited beautiful beaches, bays, caves, but also port restaurants. Thank you for the experience and I highly recommend it to everyone.

The best two days of our holiday were at the beginning and end when we hired a boat from very helpful and patient Yannis at Ionian Charters in Sivota. Yannis owns boats and also a restaurant in Sivota Marina. Our motor boat was named London and perfect for a family of four. We booked online several weeks in advance and in a day sailed round the Island of Meganissi, snorkelling in coves, followed by shoals of little fish in the shallows as our son upturned large stones to their delight enabling them to seize tiny crabs and then bash their shells against the rocks before eating them inches from us! It felt like we were in David Attenborough's Blue Planet! This was along the east side of Mikros Gialos - you'll see the turquoise water! Then we stopped for lunch at the lovely taverna Karnágio in Vathy. Yannis can show you where it is. It sits on its own at the edge of the bay - wait for the staff to show you where to moor your boat and they will help you. It has a tiny beach, plenty of welcomed shade and delicious homemade lemonade! It was so good we went there twice!

We have rented the sailing boat 'Penelope' three times and we have always had a nice experience. The price-quality relationship is really good.

We have chartered the sail boat "Penelope" in 3 summers now (family with kids). Penelope is an older lady but her owner Yannis keeps her in very good condition. We really apreciate the warm and fantastic support around all trips we spend. Sivota is a perfect starting point for exploring the ionian islands

We had a great day on a small motor boat without license. Perfect starting point to explore the surrounding coastline. The owner was very friendly and explained everything.
