This trip was hands down best vacation that we have ever done! We said it was the trip of a lifetime, but we want to go back again asap, so hopefully not once in a lifetime! After researching, we decided on Greek Seas and are thrilled we did. Austin was fantastic, communicative, and extremely helpful throughout the process leading up to the trip. The boat itself (Saona 47) was beautiful, comfortable, and offered a ton of different places to enjoy the time on the water and docked. All that said… the highlight of the experience (other than the islands and locations we visited) were Kostas and Mary! They listened to what we wanted out of the trip and designed a great itinerary, were so kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable about everything, and helped make the week so incredible for us. The cherry on top is that Mary is a magician with the food she makes in the little kitchen on the boat! There wasn’t a single meal that didn’t exceed our expectations. Such an incredible experience and we can’t wait to do it again one day (hopefully soon).
We sailed with Greek Seas for our honeymoon. They made the trip so special. We spent 7 days on a Lagoon 380 catamaran. The boat was very well maintained and extremely comfortable. Our skipper was Kostas, who was fantastic. We didn't have an itinerary ahead of time so every morning we woke up and let him tell us the next stop, and it was always somewhere new and fun. We stopped to swim and eat lunch in a different gorgeous location every day. Mary was our hostess and she is an amazing cook. I have never eaten so much or so well!! The night before we left on the trip, we spent the night on the boat at the harbor, as well as the night that we returned. It made it so convenient and easy that we didn't have to book a hotel for 2 extra nights when we were at the Piraeus Harbor. Another great benefit is that the company is a small one and the crew is local and very knowledgeable about the area. Austin does all the planning and communication, and he was incredibly helpful, thorough, and made the booking process very easy. I have only great things to say about this trip and I highly recommend booking with this company.
Loved every minute. Food made by hostess was perfect, captain sailed perfectly. Swim spots and island in the Saronic Gulf were a great mix for everyone in the group. I would not hesitant to book another week with them.
We spent the 1st week of Oct with Greek Seas sailing in the Saronic Gulf. 3 empty nester couples celebrating a 60th bday for one of the guys. We are a group who has sailed together in the BVIs and Croatia as well. Our experience was just excellent. We had the 47ft Sapma catamaran with our own cabins & ensuites. We had plenty of room and never felt crowded. Our skipper Yiannis was fantastic. We really didn’t give him much info on what we wanted but he seemed to read us perfectly. The 1st day he asked if we wanted the bigger or smaller port and we all said smaller. We had 2 days of crowds in Athens. He docked us in a small fishing village Perdika on Aegina. We had some mainland ports Ermioni and Nafplion and islands of Spetses and Hydra. Most days we would stop for a swim snorkel or paddle board then sail on to a port. Our biggest adventure came on Hydra with a 4.5 miles hike up 1750 ft elevation to the Monastery of the Prophet Elijah. Astounding views! Our hostess and chef was Anastasia. She was absolutely exceptional. We had breakfast and lunch served to us each day and Anna made wonderful authentic Greek dishes that were absolutely delicious. Honestly dinners on shore were mostly apps as we were so satisfied by our onboard meals. This was a truly relaxing vacay. Our Captain & Hostess were just wonderful. I highly recommend Greek Seas and can't wait to go again!
If I could give this trip 10 stars, I would. We did 7 days on a Lagoon 380. This catamaran is "smaller" and sails beautifully. Perfect for 2 couples or a big family. Our skipper was Kostas and extremely knowledgeable sailor. He loves to sail and it shows. He knows the islands inside and out. Kostas is a very safe and calm sailor. The way he can dock in the tightest of slips is amazing. His wife, Mary, is an outstanding cook. We had fresh food everyday. Coffee waiting for us every morning. I’m vegetarian but rest of my family is not. Mary was able to master that challenge with a smile. I definitely gained weight! So good. The trip started with leaving the Athen’s dock at 5 pm Saturday and sailing in swells ( high wind) to a cove where we rested that night. Dinner with fake candlelight on the boat. Then next day off to the island. Every day we swam before lunch at some beautiful spot and docked each night at a new fishing village. Kostas will adjust the trip as you please. We love sailing and small villages. Here are 4 quick photos. Heaven. Best vacation!
I can’t recommend Greek Seas highly enough! From start to finish, our sailing trip was nothing short of magical. The boat was beautiful and well-maintained, but what truly made this experience unforgettable was the incredible crew. Our captain was knowledgeable, warm, and clearly passionate about the islands and sailing. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen, and he made navigating the Saronic Gulf feel effortless. The hostess was equally amazing—friendly, attentive, and cooked very tasty lunches. They struck the perfect balance of professionalism and laid-back Greek hospitality, making us feel completely at home. We spent our days swimming in crystal-clear coves, wandering charming villages, and eating the most delicious local food (often thanks to their great recommendations). Whether we were relaxing on deck or exploring a tucked-away taverna, it all felt seamless and special. If you're considering a sailing trip in Greece, book with Greek Seas. You’ll come away with memories to last a lifetime—and probably already planning your next trip back.
I recently had the pleasure of sailing with Greek Seas Sailing Charters, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we set sail, Kostas and Mary made us feel welcome and taken care of. Their warmth, expertise, and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the journey. Kostas is an exceptional captain, navigating the stunning Greek waters with ease and confidence. His deep knowledge of the area and passion for sailing ensured that we visited the most beautiful and secluded spots, making each stop a unique adventure. Mary's hospitality and culinary skills added an extra layer of delight to our trip. Every meal she prepared was a delicious celebration of Greek cuisine, leaving us eagerly anticipating the next dish. The boat itself was immaculate, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a luxurious and relaxing voyage. Kostas and Mary made sure we had plenty of opportunities to swim, snorkel, and explore, and their enthusiasm for the sea and the islands was truly infectious. Overall, our experience with Greek Seas Sailing Charters was nothing short of perfect. Kostas and Mary went above and beyond to ensure that our trip was memorable and enjoyable. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for an exceptional sailing adventure in Greece. Thank you, Kostas and Mary, for an incredible journey!
